Not a vendor.
A thinking partner.

Every engagement starts in the same place: with a journalist's instinct to understand the story before committing to the format. I don't take briefs at face value.

I ask what the work actually needs to do, who it needs to reach, and what's missing. Then I build toward that — with precision, clarity, and a disability-informed lens that brings in perspectives most content strategies overlook entirely.

"The journalist who builds B2B content ecosystems. The strategist who breaks news."

01

Reported, argued,
and rigorously told.

I write for publications that care about craft. My beat covers disability, race, gender, labor, and the systems that shape all four — with a focus on the stories that mainstream coverage flattens or misses. 200+ bylines across Forbes, Al Jazeera, TIME, Teen Vogue, NBCUniversal, PBS, Glamour, Business Insider, The Daily Beast, CJR, and others.

Available for commissions, contributed essays, reported features, op-eds, and collaborative investigations. I'm also one of the only journalists working across media and content strategy published in Developmental Medicine and Child Neurology, a leading peer-reviewed medical journal.

"Whether reporting on urban inaccessibility in Lagos or a disability policy fight in Washington — the instinct is the same: find the human at the center of the system."

Past collaborators include editorial teams at Al Jazeera English, Forbes, Time Inc., Condé Nast, Viacom/MTV, and NBCUniversal. Available for one-off commissions and ongoing contributor arrangements.

Built to rank.
Written to be read.

I've led content strategy for B2B SaaS, PropTech, and consumer tech companies — building editorial systems that serve both organic search and the humans doing the searching. At Pinterest, I grew organic B2B traffic 25% YoY. At ButterflyMX, I scaled blog output 3x, lifted domain authority 40%, and increased lead capture conversion 18%.

What distinguishes my content strategy work is the editorial layer — every piece has a human argument at its center, not just a keyword cluster. That combination converts better, holds up longer, and builds trust that paid acquisition can't buy.

"I understand funnels, not just narratives. I understand audiences, not just readers. I understand how to make complex things clear."

Available for project-based engagements and ongoing monthly retainers. Typical retainers include a mix of strategy, writing, and performance reporting.

Representation
that actually holds up.

I bring lived experience with cerebral palsy, a journalist's instinct for accuracy, and an economist's eye for systemic patterns to every sensitivity and DEI engagement. I've worked with Macmillan's FSG imprint on sensitivity reads for middle-grade novels centering disability, advised brand campaigns on inclusive messaging, and helped institutions audit their language for ableist assumptions.

This isn't checkbox consultation. I provide substantive written notes — specific to the text or campaign — with context, alternatives, and an explanation of why something does or doesn't work for the communities it aims to represent.

"Disability representation is not a checklist. It's a craft decision — one that requires both proximity to the experience and the editorial skill to articulate what's missing."

Sensitivity read turnaround typically 2–3 weeks depending on manuscript length. DEI content consulting available as a standalone audit or ongoing advisory. Rates on request.

Ideas that land.
Rooms that leave changed.

I speak on disability and intersectionality in journalism, inclusive storytelling in media and marketing, and the professional experience of building a career with a visible disability. My keynotes are equal parts reported and personal — grounded in evidence, animated by story, and calibrated to leave audiences with something actionable.

Past engagements include a graduation keynote at Columbia University, a lecture at the UCSB Disability Studies Initiative, a presentation at the 74th Annual AACPDM, a panel at The Wing, and workshops with Detour Theater and ProPublica.

"My speech was shaped by CP. I built a career in a spoken-word profession anyway. That's not a cautionary tale — that's the talk."

Available for in-person and virtual engagements. Speaker fee varies by event type, organization size, and travel. Media kit available on request.

Flexible by design.
Built around your need.

Most engagements fall into one of three shapes. If yours doesn't fit neatly, reach out anyway — the LLC is small by choice, which means I can be more responsive and specific than a large agency.

Model 01
Project-Based
A defined deliverable with a clear scope, timeline, and fee. Best for commissions, one-off content pieces, sensitivity reads, audits, and speaking engagements.
Best for: Editors commissioning work, publishers needing a sensitivity read, organizations booking a speaker, brands needing a one-time asset.
Model 02
Retainer
An ongoing monthly arrangement with agreed-upon deliverables and strategy support. Best for companies that need consistent, high-quality content and editorial direction over time.
Best for: SaaS and tech companies scaling content, organizations building an editorial practice, brands that need a steady voice and strategic thinking.
Model 03
Advisory
Strategic counsel without the full execution — content audits, editorial positioning, DEI content strategy, or a journalist's perspective on a campaign before it ships.
Best for: In-house teams needing an outside lens, leadership wanting honest editorial feedback, organizations building disability-inclusive communications.

to say.

The best engagements start with a conversation, not a brief. Drop me a note with where you are and what you're building — I'll tell you honestly whether and how I can help.
